From July 16, 2026, NP Brows and Ukiyo Spa will display Value Added Tax (VAT) at 8% as a separate line on every bill, in accordance with Vietnamese tax regulations.
To be clear: this tax has always applied to our services, and until now we have absorbed it into our menu prices ourselves. What is changing is not the tax — it is how we present it. From this date, our listed prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, and the 8% will be shown clearly at checkout so you always know exactly what makes up your total.
What's Changing
Menu prices are now quoted before tax. All prices on our menu and website are in Vietnamese Dong (VND) and exclusive of VAT. An 8% VAT is added to your total at checkout, with no exception — every bill is issued with a valid 8% VAT invoice.
A card transaction fee applies to larger payments. For transactions from 5,000,000VND and above paid by card, a 3% transaction fee applies. VAT is calculated on the service price together with this fee. Paying by cash or bank transfer avoids the fee entirely.
Why We're Showing It This Way
Vietnam's tax regulations require registered businesses to declare VAT and issue proper electronic invoices for every transaction. Rather than folding this cost quietly into our prices as we have until now, we've chosen to show it openly on your bill, so you always know exactly what you're paying for.
You will receive a valid electronic invoice (hóa đơn điện tử) for every service. If you'd like your invoice issued to a company, please let our front desk know before payment.
The Regulations Behind This
Resolution No. 204/2025/QH15 (National Assembly, 17 June 2025) — reduces VAT from 10% to 8% for most goods and services, from 1 July 2025 through 31 December 2026.
Decree No. 174/2025/NĐ-CP (Government, 20 June 2025) — provides detailed guidance on applying the reduced 8% VAT rate.
Decree No. 254/2026/NĐ-CP (Government, effective 1 July 2026) — governs electronic invoices and e-documents. Under Article 41, if a business fails to issue an invoice, customers have the right to report this via the eTax Mobile app, the National Public Service Portal, or directly to the tax authority.
We're always happy to walk you through your bill. Please reach out any time. Thank you for your continued trust and understanding.
